SHORT SUMMARY
How Long After Purchasing the E Scooter Can It Be Returned?
30 days, which starts from the date of purchase counting as day 1 of 30. Whether that purchase happens at 9am or 11.30pm the date of purchase counts as Day 1 of 30 within which the 30 Day Returns policy is in effect.
To be clear, after 30 days have exhausted from date of purchase the rights of return default to those in the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.
Does the 30 Day Returns Policy Apply to Commercial or Bulk Purchases?
The policy applies only to purchases made by a consumer and for non-commercial purposes. Bulk buys, corporate or wholesale purchases, commercial or dealer purchases of any kind do not qualify for the 30 day Returns Policy. Products purchased for commercial use of any kind, including but not limited to Uber Eats or other delivery driving/riding are not covered by the policy.
Can I Return a Product That has been Ridden or Used?
The Policy only covers unused products or 'slightly used'. For example an electric scooter that has been ridden even a short distance will not be covered by the policy unless there is no wear and tear or usage marks. No return will be accepted for a product that has been used in any way that would impact its ability to be sold as a new product. All returns under the 30 day Returns Policy are to be accepted or denied at the sole discretion of STORM RIDES. If the return is denied this in no way impacts your standard rights as a consumer under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that proper research is conducted prior to purchase. STORM RIDES offers significant support in the form of web chat, test rides, free advice, there is also blog posts and a wide range of YouTube videos available for products.
