This scooter is highly recommended

Watched a lot of reviews on this scooter before committing to buy. I can 100% confirm it lives up to everything I watched and read. I got it to commute a 9k round trip to work. I live in a hilly area and get to transit a public park so tend to enjoy sports mode a lot. Even in this mode I get two full trips out of it and the battery is at 30%. Noting the step hills and constant sports mode use I think this is great. Pleasingly it even gets me to and from work quicker than taking the car. Have only completed three full cycles of the battery so perhaps battery life will increase a tad once worn in. Highly recommended this scooter if dealing with hills and has the power and speed to put a smile on your face.

Thanks Macca, love getting awesome detailed reviews like this, it is so helpful for other customers to help them choose the right ride.
Also helpful for us to know we are supplying the right range of products to customers so we can keep our promise to fit everyone to their perfect ride! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🙏⚡

This is the 3rd scooter I have bought from Storm

This is the 3rd scooter I have bought from Storm Rides.
This time I was looking for a scooter for my son that could handle the hills of Wellington but sat within a uni student budget.
This was perfect. Great price, a lot of power and reasonably light.
My son loves it.
....and I love that I can still blitz him on my Mantis King😉

Awesome Karl - love getting reviews like this.
You chose the perfect ride for your boy... but retained supremacy with your Mantis King GT to keep him in his place 😂😂😂⚡

Inmotion Hill Slayer

Auckland has crazy and unnecessary steep hills. With a few of the wild ones sitting 25%+ inclines for about 1 KM or longer on average probably.

You'd think the people that made this scooter were thinking about Auckland when they made this scooter.

My main goal was to own a simple scooter that could slay hills ( Auckland's Collage Hill, upper Queen and Victoria Street), without looking like I was trying to be a dirt bike rider.

Test rode a few or the more powerful ones, but I didnt like the extreme offload look, plus I wasnt looking for something $2000+ for my needs.

Never owned a scooter, so was clueless, but I watched videos for best hill climbing scooters, this one came out on top for the price range.

Im 85+kgs, and this thing flys up Collage hill at 28km/h, I fell in love with scooters, should I say fell in love with this scooter, and I take it for evening rides just to feel the air outside.

Its a rad entry level scooter, the sports mode makes this thing exciting to ride too.

Another surprise was, I brought the scooter accepting that, I'd have to do a rolling start based on all the video reviews I watched, but there is a setting in the app that allows you to enable acceleratiom without push starting, may have been an app update.

Music to our ears mate!
We absolutely LOVE the InMotion Climber for all of those reasons, it is just a normal unassuming looking scooter, easy to ride, easy to master.
It's not aggressive looking or in ride feel, it's not a speed demon (but quick enough for sure).

It's magic trick is that it gets to a hill... and just keeps going on up it - for similar hilll climbing ability you usually have to pay so much more and end up with a much larger more aggressive scooter.

We have purposefully cut the price right down on the Climber, we want to get a lot of people on them, it is perfect for Auckland and Wellington and Dunedin. It really should be 30-40% more expensive than it is for what it does.

Thanks for being a customer, and thanks for the epic review (naming the streets is really cool as people know them)!

Super easy to assemble. Great service. Great product!

My daughter absolutely loves this scooter. She uses it every day to get to/from high school and to her part time job. It has all the 'bells and whistles' (and more). Her brother then felt like he was missing out, so I have purchased a second for him. Preordering and a bit of patience meant a saving of about $500 from what we originally paid. Super easy to assemble. Great service!

Another win for the Climber, it is an absolute best seller and all of these ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews make it easy to see why ⚡⚡🙏🙏
Appreciate you being a customer 😊

its a legit hill climber

originally bought for son to use at Auckland Uni between main campus and scoot up Grafton Road to Grafton campus. He's 98kgs, no issues up the hill. I have been using it lately to ride from Market road through New Market to Parnell Rise then into downtown to work at the AON building. when heading back up Parnell rise after work, it takes me up the rise faster than walking pace, once i get up to the Parnell road part and heading towards New Market, the scooter picks up the pace. I'm at 130kgs and i can vouch it can take the weight. It can get to 40kms down the rise to the intersection of parnell rise and beach road (into town) but be safe, the brakes are good, use them 40kms does feel really fast, please be safe hang in the 20km zone. I found this scooter reliable. Don't be fooled by the 5min youtube video of changing the tyre it is a mission to change it - trust me! it's a mission to put the tube in and getting the valve through the hole, you'll get better if you've popped the tyre like me a few times - be aggressive when changing the tryre or you'll be all day. If you're heavy, try not to lean the scooter over or you'll likely get a 'pinch' in the tube and get a flattie. i now take it easy cornering and stay upright if that makes sense. going strong, havent been in the rain yet so not sure about performance. it's raining tomorrow 20/01/26 ill repost if it goes well.

Whoop Whoop Jamie thanks for the awesome detailed review, will help a lot of people.
Yeah we can't beliebve how good the Climber cranks.

Makes it up Wellington hills nicely

My first scooter, but I had been doing some research. This seemed like the best price per power option. Got it on a Black Friday sale and was an even better deal than normal. Needed something with power to get up the Wellington hills. Brother-in-law has the InMotion Air Pro and that's a good option too for less hilly areas. This Climber goes 39 kmph on the flat but then slowed to 20 kmph on the steeper parts which is still good. My 10.2km commute to work downhill/on the flat ate up nearly 38% of the battery. Charged at work back up to 100% during the day. Then back home uphill/on the flat took 48% of the battery. I don't really want to risk not charging at work and then potentially running out of battery on the way home up hill. So real world range is closer to 20km with a 95kg rider. I just tested it on the electrotraveller range calculator and it said exactly 20km range. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Epic review thanks Jason! Love getting this kind of detail - really helps understand real world performance and other people making the right decision. Load and Terrain are major factors so knowing that these are stats for Welly hills and a 95kg rider is super helpful! We love the Climber, such a great ride and we got a great deal from IM so we passed it on to our customers. Glad your brother in law is enjoying his Air Pro also ⚡

Love it

I live in Parnell and limes and flamingos struggle up every hill, having the push mostly. This thing accelerates up the hills, it’s phenomenal.

Cheers WIll - they don't call it ' The Climber' for nothing !! ⚡

Perfect for my 20km work commute

I had upgraded to the Climber after finding the AirPro struggling to mount hills during my daily 40km work commute between West Auckland and Newmarket. The dual motor makes easy work of the steep and gradual inclines. The battery also seems to hold charge for longer when not in use between charging times.
I particularly found the cruise mode a life saver as my arthritic fingers don't cramp on prolonged accelerator lever holds anymore.
The weight and durability of the scooter made wet and windy commutes a breeze too, and my travel times were unaffected. The motors keep constant power output even on the last 30% of battery life.
In future I'll likely upgrade to a scooter with suspension and more power, but InMotion and Stormrides will definitely be my go to brand and shop, with the experience I've had with them so far.

Awesome Timothy, these detailed reviews really help others with their purchse decisions.
Thanks for taking the time. The InMotion Climber is a great little commuter and with the latest V3 it just keeps getting better and better.

Handles Steep Roads Like a Champ

This electric scooter is fantastic! It handles steep streets really well, which is important since there are a lot in my area. It’s impressively fast with great acceleration. The battery life is solid—I only need to charge it every 3–4 days for my daily commute of around 2 km round trip. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

The shipping took a few extra days, I had to email them to follow up. But after that, they sent it out right away.

Thanks Summer, what an awesome review. Thanks for taking the time and for the feedback. 😊

STAGGERINGLY GOOD!

I don’t normally leave reviews unless I am seriously impressed! And I certainly am with the Climber! Having tried basically EVERY commuter scooter on the market, all with seriously overstated power abilities, the Climber is the one for me! Amazingly good on the steepest of Wellington hills, compact and light! Only gripe would be the rubber footpad is already lifting in places but in general, the build quality and performance is as good as it gets. AAA+++!

Fantastic! Appreciate the review.
The Climber is the Perfect Commuter Scooter for Wellington - it's the only one we have ever found that has the guts for the hills without overly aggressive acceleration and top end and at a good price point. InMotion specially made it for commutes with hills and really hit the mark.
Regarding the deck, that is not a known issue (haven't had that feedback ever before for the Climber, can you send us a pic via web chat of what you are seeing.)

Best in price range

I am extremely happy with this purchase. In my opinion, in the 2k price range you literally cannot get anything better: two motors, manageable weight, 35 km/h?... AND with unparalleled gradability to boot!
Scales the Auckland Hills with ease - where my previous xiaomi mi pro 2 barely managed to put out 9-10km/h and needed a push, climber confidently goes on 20-25, with only occasional drop to 15. Definitely recommend!
