For those seeking an affordable entry-level scooter from a top international brand, that choice has now become very clear. Buy an InMotion Air Pro!

Now Featuring a wider handlebar (for even steadier handling) and indicators!

[some images may depict the previous version without indicators]

InMotion are a highly-respected manufacturer renowned for their uncompromising pursuit of quality and dependability over fashion and flashy features.

The Air and Air Pro share the same superb strong and clean chassis, one-click folding mechanism, and innovative dual-braking system operating on a single lever for simplicity. They share the same clear and simple data display, easy-to-operate thumb throttle, and cable-less design. The same 10" smooth and easy-rolling tyres. Both come with the impressive InMotion app offering a range of management functions.

The differences come in the performance, with the Air Pro offering a powerful 400W motor with 750W peak output, making short work of your average hill and powering up some slopes that leave lesser, entry level scooters like Xiaomi and Segway trailing in its wake, and pushing it on to a top speed of 35kmh. If you are wanting a similar sized scooter that can handle steeper hills, then we suggest the InMotion Climber which has Dual Motors. The Air Pro is ideal for flat areas, or lighter riders.

Battery power and hence range is also enhanced in the Air Pro, as it packs a whopping 12 amp-hour (AH) battery into its compact chassis, while still managing to keep overall weight to a very manageable 17kg.

For a heavier rider or one needing the extra range in a commuter scooter, the Air Pro is the clear choice. For those lighter riders and those preferring to save a little weight, and some money, the Air presents as the value option.

Both models comes with an industry-leading genuine IP55 weatherproof rating, with IP67 on crucial components including the batteries and controllers. Scooters that work in NZ conditions, for when you need transport that won't let you down.

  • Charging Time - approx. 8.5hrs.
  • Tyre Types - 10" Front Pneumatic Tire; Rear Pneumatic Tubed (60/70-6.5)

Nice one

This is my first scooter, and I love it. The InMotion Air Pro is a solid choice for a daily city commute. As a student at UoA, I needed something reliable for the run between the CBD and the Newmarket campus. I haven't tested it in the rain yet, but the IP67 rating provides great peace of mind for Auckland weather. I've found that in Sport Mode, the motor handles the local climbs quite comfortably. For the price, the power and build quality are excellent.

Excellent Avishek! We have a tonne of Uni Students on our scooters, and many many of them are on the InMotion range - especially the Air Pro like yours, as well as the Climber (if they need a bit more hill climbing power for something like Franklin Rd).
Thanks for your business, your review, and for including a pic - hope it keeps you on time for class for many years to come! ⚡

No good on Dunedin hills

Unfortunately I did not do enough research when looking for an electric scooter. I live in Dunedin and the inmotion Air Pro V3 is useless on hills, even the small slope where Police & Carrol Streets intersect, the scooter almost come to a stop. Ran out of power going up Hope Street, as well as High Street.
I am guessing my weight was a factor, which is 95kg. When I got off the scooter and pressed the throttle, away it went.
I've had a lot trouble with trying to fold ther scooter. it just wont budge after pressing the red button.
Could not lock ths scooter using the Inmotion app. Kept telling me I was not the owner, even though I followed the instructions when registering the scooter.
On the flat, it's brilliant. Speed is is great, Indicators are fantastic.

Reality is, I've spent a reasonable sum of money for a scooter which is of no use to me.

Sadly this turned out to be not such a great experience.

Hi Caspian, thanks for leaving a detailed honest and fair review. I would possibly look to roll the IM on to someone else maybe a smaller person. Teenager maybe. It is not a powerful ride and Dunedin does have some epic landscape. You should be able to recoup some cost and hook yourself up with something more appropriate for your use case. Almost nobody leaves a 3 star - people dive hard for the 1 star button no matter the situation if it isn't perfect. This review will def help other people.
If you do decide to do that get in touch with us and reference this review and we will see what we can do to ease the pain for you.
End of the day we want everyone on the perfect ride ⚡🙏

Not as good up hills as the listing suggests

Not as good up hills as the listing would have you believe.

80kg, struggles up (12kph) Nelson St and Victoria St, even at full charge.

Still a solid commuter scooter, similar to a Lime/Flamingo but no speed restrictions and tops out at 35 on the downhill/flat.

Would recommend if your usual trips are flat. Otherwise, probably better to spend the extra for the Climber

Hi Liam, yes the Climber would def be a a better choice for those types of hills. Thanks for leaving an honest detailed and fair review - we do appreciate those, they help other people to buy the right thing. Good of you to leave 3 stars not 1. Most people jump on the 1 star the moment things aren't perfect.
If you do decide to move on your IM Air and look at something else like a Climber, let us know. We can usually take some sting out of it so you end up on your perfect ride - that's our motto and our goal for every customer ⚡⚡
